Organic crops aren't treated with harmful pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and genetically modified organisms. These toxins are harmful for farmers and workers, us as consumers, and entire wildlife eco-systems. Organic cotton is grown using 91% less water than regular cotton and is also more comfortable, better quality and lasts longer
The organic cotton we use is both, GOTS Certified and Organic Content Standard Certified (OCS)
The Global Organic Textiles Standard (GOTS) provides us with assurance that every single cotton fibre used is certified organic and meets their minimum requirement of 70% natural organic fibres. Additionally, the certification has a strict set of protocols that are focused on the environmental, social and ethical impacts related to manufacturing.
Organic Content Standard Certified (OCS) verifies the presence and amount of organic material in a final product and traces the organic fibre flow throughout the entire textile supply chain to allow a corresponding organic ‘fibre claim’ in the final textile product.
