Breathwork for Wellness

We assume that everyone knows how to breathe, right? Wrong. According to specialized studies in Sleeping patterns, the majority of people only use 25 percent of their cull respiratory capacity. Hence its no surprise that improper breathing has become such a huge contributing factor to ill health. Many personal trainers are trying to incorporate more breath-work into sessions and are even teaching it independently as a service. Teachers like Laird Hamilton and Wim Hof are spending hours on teaching people how to breathe correctly.

Many people are taking up breathing classes to correct their own patterns of conscious and connected breathing. It is said to be a very powerful tool and has benefits which include increased energy, ability to manage stress, and stronger immunity.

Conscious Eating

Say goodbye to counting calories and fad diets. In 2020 we are not sticking to restrictive meal plans anymore and are limiting food groups. The time has come to focus on mindful eating. To understand intuitive eating more and slowing down when you eat, following hunger cues and cravings. 2020 wellness trends are all about creating and nurturing healthier relationships with food and getting an eating plan to get behind.

Sleep is finally being addressed as an important topic. 2020 is the year of blue-light blocking glasses, screen protectors, sleep-enhancing mists and silk pillowcases all with the goal of providing you with the best night’s sleep, ever.

Therapy with Cold Water

While cold water may not be the most comfortable thing in the world, ice baths and contrast showers are an easy way to try out cold therapy at home. Amongst many others, cold therapy claims benefits that include improved circulation, increase in hormone levels reduced inflammation, improved deep sleep quality, speeded injury recovery, and enhanced immune system function.
